Tomorrow I’m going to Atlantic City, the city that should be so lucky as to be nicknamed “Sin City.” I don’t say that because of the prostitutes, gambling, drinking or dare I say it… guidos. I say it because Atlantic City is a gold mine of tourism that was left to fizzle away.
Like most states, New Jersey (I feel bad that Old Jersey has to look at this and think, god I was so bad we had to create THIS?!)- Like most states New Jersey is cash strapped and cutting programs and government staff isn’t bridging the gap. New revenue sources need to be tapped. Well, why not old ones?
Trenton needs to take a vested interest in the future of AC and market the hell out of it. We’ve all seen the I Love NY ads, so why is there no NJ equivalent? Perhaps I’m wrong here but how many of us actually can recall a NJ tourism ad?
So that’s my rant on AC. Wish me luck. RED 22!
